Hello. I am Katie Kruis, owner of Jumping Frogs Preschool LLC. My husband, Carter, and I have operated the business for about 5 years. I have always loved working with children and this is a dream come true for me. Even when I was young I was involved with children. I babysat frequently when I was in high school and that was also my summer job back then. After I finished school I became a child photographer and traveled throughout CA taking pictures in deptartment stores. After I met Carter I went back to school and started taking Early Childhood Education classes at a local community college. They had a great ECE department that also included a top notch preschool. I became more and more involved there, especially after we enrolled our daughter, Caroline, in the program. Eventually I was hired to work in the department while I continued taking ECE classes. I just loved it and I knew that some day, I wanted to operate my own small preschool. I am so lucky to be doing something I really love. I get so much from the children and they really keep me on my toes. I am very blessed. I am also very grateful for the two wonderful teachers, Deanna and Aurelie, that I work with. They are always coming up with new ideas to keep the classroom interesting and fun for the children.

My husband and I moved to WI from CA about 15 years ago. His family is from Cedar Grove. We have one daughter, Caroline, who is a freshman at UW-M studying architectural design. We built a house shortly after we moved back here in a wooded area near Lake MI outside of Oostburg. I love to walk through the woods and along the lake as often as I can. By the way, taking a daily walk is also part of our routine at Jumping Frogs Preschool. It’s great to get the children outside before lunch and it sure helps them sleep better at nap time!

Leslie Tovar

Hello parents of Jumping Frogs Preschool children. My name is Leslie Tovar and I am one of the assistant preschool teachers at Jumping Frogs Preschool. I am originally from Long Beach, CA, but I have lived here in Sheboygan for three years now. Moving to Wisconsin has been a huge change which has been a little difficult to get used to. But I have had wonderful opportunities like working at Jumping Frogs Preschool. These opportunities have made getting adjusted to living here much easier.

I studied at Long Beach City College for two years, taking general education classes and early childhood development classes. I love working with children, so my ultimate goal is to continue my education and become a kindergarten teacher. Since I was in high school, I did a lot of volunteer work in elementary schools, working with younger children. I worked with the Sheboygan Area School District as an education assistant as well as a Spanish translator. I worked in schools such as Jackson, Grant and Washington Elementary. Working in these schools has helped me gain a lot of experience in working with children of all ages.

I am a very family oriented person. I have always been raised close to my family. I love spending time with my older brother and 18 year old sister. I love to do outdoor activities, hang out with close friends, travel, watch movies, and go shopping.

My name is Anh Kim Nguyen (Kim), mother of two kids.  They used to be enrolled at Jumping Frogs Preschool. We moved to the USA in 2006 from Vietnam. Prior to my move five years ago, I had almost seven years of very successful Managerial Accounting experience working for advertisement firms in Vietnam.

I am so glad to have become a Vietnamese American on November 9, 2011, along with my husband. I am a recent graduate of UW-Milwaukee in accounting.

I almost left Sheboygan in 2011 for a new accounting position in Portland, OR, however, Ms Katie offered me a job as an assistant child care teacher at Jumping Frogs Preschool which I accepted. I appreciated this offer because I really love to work with kids, look at their innocent faces, and to follow how they are growing up every day. You are all more than welcome to contact me at Jumping Frogs Preschool.
